Adam (The Bass) AKA Crunchy Chopps
Adam, The Bass, aka Crunchy Chizzle/Crunchy Chopps, was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the midst of a cops-robbers shootout after a casino robbery gone wrong. His daddy didn’t make it, but his mama survived, and mother and child escaped the long arm of the law by running north to Minnesota, under pseudonyms. Adam and mother grew up in modest conditions, with Adam taking up guitar and playing on the streets at an early age to help support the two of them.
At around 16, Adam was struck by lightening and permanently lost his guitar playing abilities, but, being shaken awake by the following rumbles of deep thunder, was endowed with the ability to play a far superior instrument; hence Adam the Bass was born. After brief stints with reggae/rock band Riot Forgery and classic/southern rock outfit Negative Waves, Adam’s dreams of playing the sweet sounds of 90s rock and roll have come to fruition with Shredding Flannel. Adam’s philosophy on bass playing; “like a first love gone wrong, you don’t miss it until it’s gone.”
